debian give write permission
sudo chmod -R 757 /var/wwwhow to change permissions on a file in linux
sudo chmod -R ugo+rwx /file/pathpermission in linux
chmod u=rwx,g=rw,o=rx myfile.txt
Now view the result:
ls -l myfile.txt
-rwxrw-r-x 1 user group 9482 Jan 16 16:29 myfile.txt
//where frist character represent wheather it is directory or file
